The Fat Bastards powerup causes the limbs of all pedestrians, living or not, to grow, making them fatter. This makes them a wider target. The pitch of their voices gets a little lower. Unfortunately, in Carmageddon II, they are a lot stronger as well, sometimes causing damage to the car when attempting to kill one.
