Info
A powerup in Carma2, CarmaTDR, Carma64
Type Ped
Use Timed
Amount 30 seconds
10 seconds (CarmaTDR)
20 seconds (Carma64)

The Pedestrian Panic powerup has a simple effect: it causes all pedestrians on the level to start running in panic while flailing their arms around. Constant screams can also be heard. The gameplay change this powerup causes is that the pedestrians are always running, and it can be harder to hit them as a result.

This powerup is in Carmageddon: TDR 2000 as well, but only some versions of it have it functional.

Carmageddon: TDR 2000[]

This powerup should do the same as in Carmageddon II, or similar. But instead, it makes all pedestrians unable to move from their place as they make postures such as pleading. Whenever a car approaches, they keep staring at it.

Trivia[]

  • The cheat code for this powerup is MRMAINWARING. Mr. Mainwaring (pronounced "Manner-ing") was one of the main characters in the classic BBC sitcom Dad's Army. In the show one of his platoon, Lance-Corporal "Jonesy" Jones, had several catchphrases, one of which was "Don't panic!" (sometimes said as "Don't panic Mr. Mainwaring!").
