- Most of Vlad's vehicles are modelled after standard Top Fuel dragsters, but the original Annihilator is a Funny Car. It's particularly reminiscent of Dale Pulde's War Eagle.
- In Carmageddon this was and is the fastest car on the road, but is very hard to control due to its speed.
- In the iOS version, it now seems to have Hot Rod built-into it. Be very careful with it!
- He is almost certainly named after Vlad the Impaler, especially when one considers the large spike on the front of his dragster.
- In TDR 2000, his name is indeed Vlad the Impaler.
- In the PlayStation version of Carmageddon, his name is Vlad the Viking.
- The car's spike in the Nintendo 64 version is stained with blood.
- Vlad is the only character other than Max Damage to appear in all three of the main games in the Carmageddon series. Psycho Pitbull and Heinz Faust come close, but both of their vehicles in TDR 2000 are driven by other drivers. Vlad is in fact the only character other than Max to return for TDR at all!
- Vlad is the only driver whose vehicle is stealworthy in Carmageddon but not in Carmageddon Splat Pack.
- Vlad's mugshot in the first game is based on Stainless co-founder Patrick Buckland.[1]
